Prior to 1970, the area now known as Fountain Hills was part of one of the largest cattle ranches in Arizona. In the late 1960’s the land was purchased by Robert McCulloch, and the master planned community of Fountain Hills was designed by Charles Wood, Jr, designer of Disneyland in So CA.
